Ancient Kauri Wood Spindles
 Jonathan's fascination with beautiful and rare woods interested him in ancient Kauri wood, many thousands of years old. Kauri is light in weight — Finished Midis range from 20-25 grams; Minis, 14-19 grams; Featherweight, 12-15 grams. Kauri is a beautiful 'napped' wood, a deep warm cinnamon brown when looking 'down the grain;' a lighter amber color when looking 'up the grain.' The price of these is $75 for a Midi, $65 for a Mini or Featherweight. Add $20 for a shaft in Cherry, Walnut, Cochin Rosewood, Tulipwood, Bocote or Bloodwood. Due to the variations in wood density, most of these whorls will be balanced with a fine brass pin placed in the underside of the whorl.

International packages are sent by USPS 1st Class International (Charkhas & Journey Wheels sent by Priority or Express Mail with insurance), beginning at $10 to Canada for a 8 oz package; $14.25 to Europe, Asia and Australia. A shipping estimate is always included when we confirm your order.
